We are proud to showcase a pioneering demonstration in additive manufacturing—printing titanium blisk blades using India’s indigenously integrated Directed Energy Deposition (DED) facility with minimum number of imports, uniquely operated without the need for a vacuum chamber. This breakthrough technology represents a significant advancement in manufacturing aerospace components with enhanced flexibility and cost efficiency.

The printing process leverages a specialized temporary collapsible tent-type arrangement, designed for quick setup and dismantling, providing a controlled environment tailored to the DED operation’s specific atmospheric requirements. This innovative tent solution offers portability and adaptability, making it an ideal setup for government projects and remote locations where permanent facilities are not feasible.

Our indigenous DED system facilitates precise deposition of titanium alloy material for turbine blisk blades—critical parts used in aero engines—without relying on expensive vacuum chambers typically needed to prevent oxidation. This capability is a game-changer for the Indian manufacturing ecosystem, aligning perfectly with the Government of India"s “Make in India“ and “Atmanirbhar Bharat“ initiatives aimed at boosting self-reliance and technological sovereignty in advanced manufacturing.

The titanium blisk blades produced exhibit excellent metallurgical properties suitable for high-stress aerospace applications, with ongoing research focused on optimizing process parameters for defect-free, high-performance components. This demonstration not only underscores India’s growing prowess in additive manufacturing technology but also sets the stage for scalable production of critical aerospace parts using indigenous resources and innovations.

Stay tuned as we continue to develop and showcase cutting-edge manufacturing solutions empowered by native technology, fostering global competitiveness and industrial transformation in India.
